The St. Benedict Men’s Fellowship Group is directed at the fostering of a Christian lifestyle. The group has been meeting for over five years and has grown and evolved during that period.  The group’s   emphasis is the sharing of our individual efforts to live a Christian life and act as a role model to our   family   and   extended   community.   The   group fellowship  has  presented  an  ideal  opportunity  for new   members  of  the Church of  St. Benedict   community  to  make contacts and establish  relationships with other like-minded men of the parish community.

The general  structure  and  activities  are   modeled  after  a  number  of similar groups operating in the  Atlanta   area   under   the   general   name,  Friday    Morning   Men’s Fellowship.  Also, the national Promise Keepers organizational goals   and   objectives have provided some additional focus on what needs to be accomplished. Christian men need to stand up and take back the nation from the rapidly evolving secular influences. To prepare an  army of Christian   men for this battle we first need to individually get right with God. Then learn how to address  our role as leaders of our families and role models in our communities.  Our fellowship is directed at supporting and assisting one another in our individual efforts to meet these challenges.

Underling principles: Once we accept Christ as our Lord and   Savior we can conclude that   we   should   follow His will. That  has  been  clearly  stated   to  mean;  1)  live in harmony with His word and  2) tell others  about Him. Our  group  is  therefore  focused on 1) helping its members to pursue  a  life  that  keeps   Christ and His  teachings  first and 2) making these truths visible in our family, community and world.

The sharing discussions have provided the participants with a level of new confidence to approach life's challenges from a Christ centered perspective. Knowing that they are part of a large group of men,   with   similar   beliefs   and   commitments,   provides the individuals    with   tangible   encouragement   to   act   within the context of Christian principles. The sharing of perspectives often   help   to   enlighten   and   expand the participants approach to handling daily challenges.
